Kadjina Community is a small remote Aboriginal community located approximately two hours from Fitzroy Crossing in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Kadjina is home to around 70 people and is a close-knit community with strong connections to family, culture, and Country.
The Kadjina OpShop is run by community volunteers and plays an important role in supporting daily life in the community. Operating as both a practical service and a social space, the OpShop provides affordable clothing and essential household items for local residents.
Through volunteer involvement, the OpShop creates opportunities for skill-building, shared responsibility, and local ownership. By keeping quality goods circulating within the community, the Kadjina OpShop helps reduce cost-of-living pressures while strengthening community connection and resilience in a very remote setting.
