Halls Creek Child and Parent Centre
Halls Creek is located in the East Kimberly region of Western Australia. It is located between the towns of Fitzroy Crossing and Turkey Creek (Warmun) on the Great Northern Highway.
Home to approximately 1300 people, and there are six languages spoken these include Jaru, Kija, Gooniyandi, Kukatja, Kriol and English.
The Child and Parent Centre in Halls Creek provides programs for parents and families. These programs support our families in the development of health and learning outcomes of their children from newborn to kindy or pre-school age.
These programs, like the Lilwuns Playgroup, help to achieve successful transitions to school, they also support family engagement to school.
The Child and Parent Centre acts as a hub for agencies to access the community. We have scheduled visits from a variety of agencies including child health nurses, occupational therapist, speech therapists and mental health practitioners.
This is a new venture for our community and profits we make will go toward community led projects at the Child and Parent Centre.
