FAQ's

What is the best way to send goods?

Australia Post XL satchels up to 5kg are preferred. Many communities can only receive mail through PMBs, PO Boxes, delivered on small mail planes.

Does Australia Post subsidise postage costs?

Not at this stage. Postage is part of the donation, so please only collect what you can afford to send.

Are there drop-off locations for donations?

No. Goods should be sent directly to communities via Australia Post.

Can I drop off clothes to a remote community myself?

Please do not arrange to visit unless you already have a direct connection. Communities are on private land and often require permission to enter.

Which OpShops are most in need?

All OpShops need ongoing donations. If you have a larger amount to send, consider splitting it across two or three communities. Check out our group page on Facebook for the most recent community requests.

What sizes do you need?

We welcome all sizes. Loose-fitting clothing in breathable natural fibres is especially useful.

Do you need baby clothes?

Yes. Baby clothes are always appreciated, and you may like to split larger donations across a few communities.
